Connect your TV and mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network. Run Smartify app and select your LG Smart TV from the list of detected devices. If necessary, enter a PIN code that appears on the TV screen into the app, or confirm the connection of new mobile device to your TV.
Smartify supports all LG Smart TVs with NetCast released in 2012 or later and LG Smart TVs with WebOS released in 2014 and later.
Turning on via Wi-Fi network is supported by all WebOS TVs. Smart TVs with NetCast OS do not support this feature.
Please check whether your TV supports control via Wi-Fi.
Connection failure can occur for several reasons: TV is OFF or not connected to a Wi-Fi network; incorrect PIN-code was entered during manual connection.
To easily distinguish multiple TVs you can change device names. Please, go to Settings → Network → TV name.
Please check whether your TV supports control via Wi-Fi. Also, make sure that your TV and mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If necessary, restart the app.
To fix this problem, just restart the mobile app. If this does not work, try restarting the mobile device and/or Wi-Fi router, turning off and on your TV.
Text input is only available in the LG TV apps which support LG keyboard. The keyboard will appear on mobile device screen automatically after you activate the input field on your TV screen. Some services, like Netflix, YouTube and others, have their own keyboards and are not supported by Smartify.
