  • 1. How to Control Samsung TV Using a Mobile Device?

    Connect your TV and mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network. Run Remotie app and select your Smart TV from the list of detected devices. If necessary, enter a PIN code that appears on the TV screen into the app, or confirm the connection of new mobile device to your TV.

  • 2. What TV Models Can Be Controlled with Remotie?

    Remotie supports all Smart TVs released in 2011 and later, in particular series R (2019), N (2018), Q (2017 QLED), MU (2017 UHD), M (2017 HD), KS (2016 SUHD), KU (2016 UHD), J (2015), H (2014), HU (2014 UHD), F (2013), E (2012), D (2011). Please note, some Samsung TV models don't support Wi-Fi control due to limitations set by the manufacturer. You can't connect to them even if you enter the correct PIN. Also, TVs may not show PIN when requesting a connection.The list of unsupported TVs:

    • 2014: Model number is less than H4500 (including H4100, H4203, H4250, H4303), model number is less than H5500 (including H5103, H5203, H5303, H5403), H6003, H6103, H6153, H6201, H6203.
    • 2015: Model number is less than J4500 (including J4200, J4300, J4303), model number is less than J5500 (including J5003, J5190, J5200, J5201, J5203, J5248, J5270, J5278, J5300, J5303, J5373), J6201, J6203.
    • 2016: Model number is less than K4300, model number is less than K5300 (including K5200).

  • 3. Can I Turn on My TV Using the App?

    Turning on via Wi-Fi network is supported by Samsung TVs released in 2016 and later. Earlier models do not support this feature.

  • 4. My Mobile Device Is Unable to Connect to the Detected TV.

    Please check whether your TV supports control via Wi-Fi. Also, make sure that your mobile device is not prohibited from connecting to the TV (Menu → General → External Device Manager → Device Connect Manager).Please note, some TV models do not support Wi-Fi control due to limitations set by the manufacturer. You can not connect to them even if you enter the correct PIN. Also, TVs may not show PIN when requesting a connection.

  • 5. First Connection.

    Some TV models may prompt you to confirm the connection of a new mobile device during first connection. To do this, you will need a hardware remote control. When connecting to TV series H and J, you have to enter a PIN code in the app, which is shown on the TV screen.

  • 6. Why the Connection Failed?

    Connection failure can occur for several reasons: TV is OFF or not connected to a Wi-Fi network; incorrect PIN-code was entered during manual connection; access of the mobile device to TV is denied. To remove your phone from the list of prohibited devices, please go to Menu → General → External Device Manager → Device Connect Manager.;

  • 7. How Can I Distinguish Multiple TVs in the Wi-Fi Network?

    To easily distinguish multiple TVs you can change device names. Please, go to Menu → Network → Device name.

  • 8. My TV Does Not Appear in the List of Detected Devices.

    Please check whether your TV supports control via Wi-Fi. Also, make sure that your TV and mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If necessary, restart the app.

  • 9. The App No Longer Connects to My TV

    To fix this problem, just restart the mobile app. If this does not work, try restarting the mobile device and/or Wi-Fi router, turning off and on your TV.

  • 10. Text Input Does Not Work.

    Text input is only available in the Smart Hub apps which support Samsung keyboard. The keyboard will appear on mobile device screen automatically after you activate the input field on your TV screen. Some services, like Netflix, YouTube and others, have their own keyboards and are not supported by Remotie.

  • 11. I Purchased the Pro Version, but the App Stopped Connecting to My TV.
